The Fort Dodge Kennel Club is a non-profit organization. Our teaching staff are all Club members who donate their time as a public service. These instructors, qualified and experienced, train and show their own dogs and are dedicated to the sport of dogs. We use proven training techniques and are in tune with the current American Kennel Club rules.
Our Club is vitally interested in pet-related issues in our community, for example, the increase in animals running at large, creating neighborhood nuisances and hazards. We are attempting to make pet owners aware of their responsibilities to both their pet and the community.
The Club was organized in 1980, in 1986 it was sanctioned by the American Kennel Club, and in 1992 held it's first AKC point show in Fort Dodge. The membership which continues to grow, holds monthly meetings on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. These meetings are open to the public. We welcome your interest and input.
